The Casino is a Downtown building in which players can participate in multiple gambling games.
Games[]
Inside the casino multiple different games can be found two of the games can be played in multiplayer these are Blackjack and Ride the bus.
Blackjack[]
The goal of blackjack is to have a hand total that is closer to 21 than the dealer's hand, without exceeding 21. Card values are as follows:
- Cards 2 through 10 are worth their face value.
- Face cards (Jack, Queen, King) are worth 10.
- An Ace can be worth 11 or 1, depending on which value benefits the hand more without exceeding 21.
- Getting a two-card blackjack (Ace and 10) is an official blackjack, and pays 2.5x
Slots[]
To win you must match three symbols and each symbol will multiply your initial bet by a certain amount. Currently the chances are in favor for the player, with an expected return value of 1.36x the amount spent. This means that on average spending 100,000 will reward you with ≈136,000. Here’s a breakdown of the prizes and chances:
- Any three fruits: x2 (≈30% - 1/3.3)
- Match three of the same fruit: x10 (≈1.85% - 1/54)
- Three bells: x25 (≈0.46% - 1/216)
- Three sevens: x100 (≈0.46% - 1/216)
Ride the bus[]
Round 1: Guess the Color - A card is drawn face down and you must guess if it’s red (hearts/diamonds) or black (spades/clubs). Get it right and your initial bet will be doubled on the spot; get it wrong and leave with nothing.
Round 2: Higher or Lower - A second card is drawn face-down, and the player must guess whether it is above or below the value of the first. If successful, the bet is tripled; get it wrong and you leave with nothing.
Round 3: Inside or Outside - A third card is drawn face-down, and the player must choose if the card value is between or outside of the range of the first two (inclusive).
- Example: 2 and 5. There are 4 cards including 2 and 5 which can be drawn, and there are 13 possible values, so the optimal choice is outside, since there is a higher probability of being correct.
Round 4: Guess the Suit - The most difficult of the rounds, a final card is drawn face-down and the player must choose the correct suit (Spades, Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts) of the drawn card. If correct, the bet is multiplied 20x, meaning an initial $500 can cash out at $10,000. Get it wrong and you leave with nothing.
Optional Choice: Cash Out - At any point in the game, you can choose to cash-out your winnings, and take what you've made, and not continue. If done consistently with luck, can make decent returns.
Optimal Strategy:[]
- Round 1: Pick either red or black, it's 50/50 either way.
- Round 2: If previous card was 8 or below, pick "Higher". If previous card was a 10 or above, pick "Lower". Otherwise, forfeit.
- Round 3: If the two previous cards have a difference of 4 or less (or a gap of 2 or less), pick "Outside". If the two previous cards have a difference of 7 or more, pick "Inside". Otherwise, forfeit.
- Round 4: Choose the suit that hasn't been drawn yet. If there are multiple, choose any of them. Never forfeit on this round unless you're running low on cash and the demerits of losing outweighs the benefits of winning.
- Note: There are better strategies, as seen in this YouTube video.
